Roxy's Memorial

Our Beloved RoxyMommy loved you the moment I saw you.  You were so small and close to being featherless.  It took us a few days to decide whether or not to put a deposit down on you.  We weren’t for sure if we wanted a big bird.  I’m so glad we did get you and I wouldn’t change a thing.  You got to know us so quickly even before you came out of the nursery.  Mommy even gave you your beautiful name.  They told us you weren’t progressing like you should have been.  We were told we were coming in too much to see you in the evenings.  Looking back we believe you had PDD from the beginning.  You had many of the signs even at a very young age.

Roxy you didn’t get to live a very long life, but we know you are in a way better place.  You were one sick little girl!  Mommy knew from the first days of seeing you that you were a girl.  DNA proved that a few weeks before you died.  Even though you were sick you still brought us so much joy.  We loved it when you would say, “Step up” over and over again.  You also would get excited and yell out “HELLO” and sway back and forth.  You loved to cuddle up next to our chests and get lots of scratches.  A day doesn’t go by that I don’t think of you Roxy.  You were one precious bird!!  I’m so sorry PDD had to make you so sick and take you away from us.  Mommy and Daddy did all we could for you.  We didn’t want you hurting and suffering.  Roxy you will always be in our hearts and we will see you again one day!  We miss you girl!

We love you,

Mommy and Daddy
